Apply for Bank CSP / Bank Mitra in Bihar

Customer Service Point enquiry for Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and districts across Bihar.

Bihar’s CSP story is tightly linked to domestic money transfer and DBT cash-out. Households receiving wages from other states need a trusted local counter. That is why Bank Mitra Bihar searches stay high even in blocks that already have one or two CSPs — quality of service and opening hours still matter. Describe the shop you will actually run: catchment, PIN, power and who sits at the counter every day.

Why CSP demand looks different in Bihar

Patna urban is relatively well banked; many viable points sit in sub-divisions and large villages along NH corridors and around district schools. A counter in Patna municipal limits is a different case from a block-road shop in Gaya, a haat-side room in Saran, or a panchayat outlet in East Champaran. Flood-prone and poorly connected panchayats can have real demand but also harder device uptime (power, data). Be honest about electricity and internet on the verification call — BCs drop locations that cannot stay online.

Name the catchment, not just “Bihar rural”. North Bihar districts already listed on this page — Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and East Champaran — often face seasonal road and power trouble. South and central belts around Gaya and Nalanda are a different trip to the branch. Eastern districts such as Bhagalpur and Purnia sit farther from Patna’s branch density. That is mapping context, not a vacancy list.

Flood, power and staying online

Demand in a flood-prone or poorly connected panchayat does not help if the biometric device dies when customers arrive. Say whether you have an inverter or generator, a second data connection, and a room that stays dry enough to keep the computer and printer working in monsoon weeks. If the road to the shop goes under water, say so — a BC would rather hear that on the first call than discover it after a site visit.

Opening hours still matter even where one or two CSPs already exist. A shop that is shut on DBT credit days, or after a night of rain, is a weak outlet whatever the catchment.

Shop location, language and who sits at the counter

A street-facing room on a block road, an NH-side village, or opposite a district school is easier to explain than a first-floor room inside a lane. Use the shop PIN. If you work in another state and send money home — the same remittance pattern this page starts with — still select Bihar and the native-shop PIN. Do not use a Delhi, Punjab or Mumbai address. The bank or Corporate BC maps the outlet, not your worksite. Someone must be present at the Bihar counter in banking hours; a partner who stays outside the state is a weak case.

Hindi and local languages (Bhojpuri, Maithili, Magahi) help more than English on the counter. Bhojpuri is the everyday language in western districts such as Saran; Maithili in the Darbhanga–Muzaffarpur belt; Magahi around Gaya and Nalanda. Use the language your customers actually speak.

Areas from which we take Bihar applications

We take Bihar applications from Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Nalanda, Saran, East Champaran and other districts. Write the city, town or block and the six-digit shop PIN. “Bihar” alone is not enough to map you.

Eligibility if you live in Bihar

Citizenship, age, education, shop and device rules are the all-India ones — there is no separate “Bihar rulebook” on this website. Banks and Corporate BCs use their own circulars. What is Bihar-specific is viability: overlap in Patna urban and district HQ markets, and whether a flood-prone or poorly connected point can stay online. Read the eligibility guide before you spend on a fascia or kit.

Choose a preferred bank on the form

On the application form, pick the bank you want on the outlet fascia. The bank or its authorised Corporate BC decides whether the location is viable. We do not assign a bank for a Bihar shop and we do not publish a private Bihar partnership list.

How to apply from Bihar

Use the same form as the rest of the site. The full document and KYC sequence is on the application process guide. For Bihar, the details that matter most on the first call are shop PIN, power and data, and who will sit at the counter.

  1. Open the Bank CSP application form
  2. Enter the shop’s city, town or block, select Bihar, and fill the shop’s 6-digit PIN — not a worksite PIN from another state
  3. Choose a preferred bank — do not leave it as “Other” if you already know
  4. On the verification call, name the catchment (Patna urban, NH-corridor village, flood-prone panchayat, or district-school road) and keep Aadhaar and shop photos handy

Apply Bank CSP only forwards enquiries. The bank or Corporate BC decides appointment, training and commission. No fixed monthly income is promised for Bihar or any other state.
